Only we brought you video of the deadly shooting Saturday morning. Our cameras go back out to the scene to walk through the neighborhood and get reactions from neighbors to see how they're feeling just days after.
In broad daylight, a man lost his life after being fatally shot on his front porch. The shooting happened around eight fifteen in the morning Saturday, according to residents of the neighborhood. With a garage sale going on just a couple of houses down, we're told this was not the first time gun fire was heard in the seemingly safe neighborhood. We're told there had been incidents of violence at that home close to seven or eight times. We knocked on all of the doors in the neighborhood trying to talk to neighbors, but they were all too scared to talk, but off camera they tell us a different story.
One neighbor we spoke to said she heard the shots Saturday morning and hid in her home. Another tells us he was going to get breakfast when he walked outside to see the cop cars crowding the street. Meanwhile, one woman said she is still shaking in fear of what happened. She says she moved to North Laredo to feel safe but doesn't believe anywhere is safe now. She adds that she used to leave her door unlocked out of habit but now is sure to lock the door whenever she gets in her home.
According to police, homicide detectives are still investigating. We'll continue to bring you the latest on this developing story.
