Two brush fires blazed across the Laredo countryside on Sunday. Firefighters battled the flames for a combined nine hours. Firefighters struggled to find their way from city streets into the brush. The delay allowed flames to come dangerously close to homes in south central Laredo. Now, a neighborhood is pulling together to ask that a road be built to aid fire crews in the future.
