Mrs. Rebecca Hughes, 10th grade World History teacher from Lyndon B. Johnson High School, was honored as October's One Class at a Time recipient. Apart from her demanding role as an educator, she was also instrumental in launching their award winning chess program. Mrs. Hughes is being honored for using "chess" to teach critical thinking skills, discipline, history and interpersonal and social skills.

Among those present were district and school administration, our sponsors from the Laredo Federal Credit Union, Khaledi Heights, and KGNS Pro 8 News. She was honored for using "chess" to teach critical thinking skill, discipline, history, and interpersonal and social skills.
