She's been an educator in Laredo for more than twenty years, but still has the same passion she did when she started with the belief every student is important.
We're kicking off another year of "One Class at a Time" honoring Elva Windisch.
She's an outstanding English teacher at J.W. Nixon High School and today was surprised as she was the center of attention inside the Nixon library.
Ms. Windisch plans to spend her five-hundred dollars getting more material for her classes including some for a special project she teaches on the Holocaust.
