Problem Solvers: Customers left hanging when dry cleaner locked out

By Ray Gomez

Customers of the A-1 dry cleaners on Springfield and Del Mar got a big surprise today instead of getting their clothes.
A note on the door is addressed to the tenant of the suite where the dry-cleaning shop is operated.
It was posted by the owner of the building and says, "because you are delinquent in payment of your rent the lock has been changed by the landlord.
Cynthia Garcia says she's one of several people who arrived to pick-up their dry-cleaning this morning,
"If they knew that they hadn't paid the rent in several months, I'm sure they suspected that they would be closed down; therefore they should have been able to call all of their clients to come pickup their clothes or also not to take any more clothes."
Moments after Pro 8 News left the business the doors re-opened to customers.
The business owner says they were late on their rent but they have already taken care of the problem.
