Bulldog Volleyball is a Team Effort

By KGNS News

The Alexander volleyball team is once again tearing through district 29-5A as they look for another undefeated district season as they prepare for the playoffs. Unlike teams in the past at Alexander, this years Bulldog's squad is getting wins without one or two leaders stepping up, but by playing a complete team game. With players moving from the front line to the back, this years team does not appear to have a weak spot and they hope that serves them well as they finish district play, and move into the playoffs.

"It takes a lot of commitment from them, a lot of heart, a lot of desire and this group has that and more." (Judy Mayers, Head Coach)

"Me and Sam Gonzalez, we weren't back row last year and this year we are going all around and doing pretty well at it." (Diana Scott, Alexander)

"There is not one single player on the team that is scared to play. Even our underclassmen like Kat who is a freshman, she is playing like she is a senior. She's coming out here, playing strong giving it her all and we all need to keep it up like that." (Samantha Gonzalez)

The Bulldogs will travel to United South tomorrow night as they look to move to 10-0 in district play.
