After last weeks area round, only one Laredo volleyball team remains in the UIL playoffs. Alexander was able to win Thursday and willnow face a Brownsville Rivera team that is hot going into the regional quarterfinals. The Raiders not only beat district 31-5A champion Nikki Rowe, but also spoiled what would have been an all Laredo match up in this round by defeating United in four sets Friday.
The Bulldogs say they are confident as their team is coming together at just the right time.
The ball is scheduled to go in the air tomorrow at 7 pm, at Rio Grande City high school as Alexander looks to move to the regional semi-finals.
