Jose Luis Flores joins a number of Laredo high schoolers seeing success on the field and using that to gain scholarships at the college level. The Toro had an outstanding senior season hitting for a .474 average while manning three different positions on defense. Now he will move on to play his ball for LCC, a team he dreamed of playing for since he was a kid.
"I would go watch them play when i was smaller and they just interested me. Plus it's from my hometown, so it's nice to stay. I will be more comfortable here and I’ll have the ability to play better."
Flores not only drew the eye of scouts but other high school coaches as well. He will join Alexanders EJ Garcia in the state coaches all star game June 15th in Round Rock.
