The TAMIU Dustdeviils kicked off their men's and women's basketball seasons last night with their annual "Maroon Madness" event. Both the men and women competed in a 3-point shootout, a shooting stars contest and the men dazzled the crowd with the ever popular dunk contest. The men's team is coming off back-to-back Heartland Conference championships and will open their season at home on November 10th against Eastern New Mexico. The women kickoff their season the same day but on the road against Abliene Christian.
