Training for any sort of fight can be an extremely difficult task, taking a high level of patience and disclipine over a normally short amount of time. For Laredos Sonny Luque, the task has been even more taxing, considering it's been four long months stuck in this frame of mind. "El Loco" was initially scheduled to fight in December, but saw that match cancelled. Lucky for him Border Fightfest 6 came calling, unlucky for him though his fight wouldn't happen until March. Instead of losing what he had worked for, Luque decided to stay in training mode but it hasn't been easy.
Luque will take on Travonne Hobbs out of Houston in a lightweight battle. Border Fightfest 6 will be this Friday night with the first bout scheduled to start at 7 pm at the LIFE Downs Pavillion.
