The Laredo Heat are at the halfway point of their Premiere Development League schedule and sit in a prime spot make a move in the mid-south division standings. The Heat sit in 3rd place right now with 13 points as they are 4-2-1 on the year. They do have two games in hand on s2nd place Oklahoma City, who is only three points ahead of them in the division. Austin has marked themselves as the favorites, having not lost a game, including a win over the Heat. Laredo's only meetings with the two teams ahead of them will come here at home in the Gateway City over the next two weeks. The Heat also have two games against 4th place Midland-Odessa and three with last place El Paso. Laredo's next game will come tomorrow as they hit the road for west Texas to take on the Sockers.
