Heat with Inside Track on Postseason

By KGNS News

With their tie last night, the Laredo Heat took back sole possession of 1st place in the Mid-South division of the Premiere Development League. Three games remain for each of the top clubs in their division, the Heat are in the drivers seat for another Mid-South crown. They will finish off their regular season home schedule tomorrow against New Orleans before hitting the road for matches with West Texas and El Paso. Despite the Heat's fate being in their own hands, Laredo knows it needs to play better then it did on Wednesday.

While Laredo and Austin have the inside track to the postseason, you can not rule out El Paso, especially with the two teams meeting in the final game of their seasons. The top two finishers from the Mid-South will move on to play in the PDL playoffs. Your last chance to watch the Heat in regular season action is Friday night at 8 p.m. at the TAMIU soccer field.
