Week three of the high school football season is in the books and things still not looking pretty for most Laredo teams. Taking a look at the standings for both districts and Nixon is the only squad with a winning record at 2-1 after beating Zapata Friday night. United South is the only UISD school with a .500 record or better as they sit at an even 2-2. Both Martin and LBJ are 1-2, while Alexander dropped to 1-3 with their loss to Edcouch-Elsa. Cigarroa is 0-3 as they enter district play and finally United is 0-4 with their four loses coming to San Antonio schools. More importantly for the Longhorns though is the loss of quarterback Alec Salas for the year with a broken femur.
