It was a big afternoon for basketball fans in the Gateway City as the Laredo Energy Arena and City of Laredo unveiled a new basketball court. Decked out in red, white and blue, the $143,000 court features a logo in the middle with the seven flags that have flown over the city and includes the motto, "Gateway to Mexico."
The new floor will initally be used by the Toros of the Two Laredos, and will likely be the destination of some of the areas biggest high school games but there are other possiblities as well.
The court will see it's first action this Tuesday as the Toro's will play their first game at the LEA on September 4th at 7:30.
