Laredo Roses Host Try-Outs

By KGNS News

The Laredo Roses are back for their second season.
Several girls came out this afternoon trying to earn a spot on the women's football team.
The Roses have worked out the controversy with Uni-Trade stadium. Uni-Trade is where they will call home for the 2013 season.
The women went through a variety of drills this afternoon, including the 40-yard sprint, shuttle run and other position specific drills.
Last years players joined the rookies on the field Sunday; all said they are excited for the new season.
Their season will kick-off on May 4 when they host the McAllen Mystics.
The women not only have to perform on the field, but will have to take a football knowledge test to be able to make the roster.
