The Laredo Lemurs are on their way home after finishing up their first road trip of the season going 4-2. Laredo is 13 games into the new season and are already making a name for themselves in the American Association. The Lemurs have sprinted out at an 11-2 record, tops in the entire league and hold a 6 ½ game lead over the next closest team in their division.
One of the striking things of Laredo's early success has been the numerous ways they have won ballgames. Victories have come from low scoring pitchers duels and slug-fests where the runs were racked up. They've won by dominating from the early innings and also in extra innings like yesterday. Now they return home for a quick three game series with Kansas City, a team that has struggled so far going 3-8 before hitting the road for Grand Prairie next week.
