The Lemurs began Sunday four games behind for the south division title, taking on the Kansas City T-bones in game three of the series. Lemurs would get a run on the board earlier when John Allen drove in Palmer Karr Jr. on an off-the-wall double in the first. The Lemurs would go on to pick up their first road sweep of the season, defeating Kansas City, 5-2. Pitcher Matt Way pitched his fifth complete game of the season, giving up two runs on six hits. This win also gives the Lemurs their first 500 record for the first time since the beginning of June. Lemurs are currently tied with El Paso, just 2.5 games behind the AirHogs for the top spot in the South division. There are only 14 games left in the season, Laredo has the day-off Monday and will then return home for their final home stand of the season beginning on Tuesday.
