Baseball and softball teams were out of town this weekend participating in various tournaments from all across south Texas.
The United baseball team went to the Houston area to participate in the Pasadena ISD tournament and came away the champions.
The Longhorns defeated Cypress Falls, 13-4 to come away the champions.
There were 16 total teams participating in the tournament. United is 11-0 so far on the season.
In softball, the LBJ wolves have won the Zapata tournament, defeating San Diego high school in the championship game, 2-0.
Kariena Murillo was the winning pitcher.
Daniela Garza won the tournament MVP; she hit a two run homerun in the game to give the wolves the championship title.
