Not only was this the Lemurs last home game of the regular season but it could be the last time anyone sees Jimmy Mojica in a Laredo uniform. The shortstop has said all season long this will be the last of his career after spending the last eight years at different levels of minor league baseball including stints with farm clubs associated with Milwaukee and Seattle. The last two years have been spent here in laredo where mojica says they have been the best of his baseball career.
Mojica said his goal was ten home runs this year and last night he was able to belt his ninth and tenth of the year. The shortstop plans to start a baseball academy to help kids that are less fortunate get coaching.
