This Friday will be Border Fight Fest 5 and one local boxer is looking to avenge a loss his last out, on a very big stage. John Montes' last fight came on the bright lights of ESPN 2 up in Austin. When the final round was over Montes felt he had done enough to win, the judges decided otherwise. Montes lost on a decision, dropping his professional record to 1-2. Since then he says he has changed up the training regiment and gyms in anticipation for Friday's bout.
Coming up tomorrow at 6, we will be at weigh-ins with more on this night of mixed martial arts and boxing both coming back to the Gateway City in the same event.
