Pony Leagues Moving to World Series

It was another good weekend for the Pony League teams here in Laredo, as two squads will be moving on to play in their respective age groups world series. The Laredo 8-year-olds qualified for the Pinto world series after winning 1st place in the state tournament in Burleson over the weekend. They will now travel to Schertz, TX, taking on teams from Florida and Louisiana in the South Zone world series this upcoming weekend.

The 16 and under division team was able to win their zone tournament here in town over the weekend. The Laredo team was able to defeat Brownsville 6-5 in the championship game. They will move on to the Colt division world series in Layfette, IN, August 3rd-9th.
