The Laredo Rattlesnakes are now technically riding a one game winning streak after Corpus Christi forefeited their game Monday. Players with the Hammerheads refused to make the trip to Laredo, saying they had received eviction notices on their team housing and were late in being paid. The same ownership group is in charge of both the Hammerheads and Rattlesnakes, as well as the Rio Grande Valley Magic. While players may be having issues in other cities, the Rattlesnakes told us today they haven't faced those problems.
"That's all nonsense, all these other cities are having but we are getting our money and paid on time.">>
"Sure everythings not perfect, it's a first year team and a start up franchise like any other business. But at the end of the day we are still functioning, guys are paid and we're trying to put on a good product."
With everything looking good for the Rattlesnakes they are looking to give their fans an offer of "Buy One, Get One Free" for all their remaining home games. Their next contest at the LEA will be this Satruday at 7 pm as they take on Rio Grande Valley.
