Two weeks ago it looked like the Rattlesnakes would be on their way to the number one seed and home field advantage throughout the Lone Star Football League playoffs. Now following back-to-back losses Laredo is in danger of not having a home playoff game at all. With their most recent loss to Abilene Monday night they now sit only one game ahead of the Bombers in the race for number two, but would lose any tie breaker after losing two of three to Abilene. Despite this downward trend of late the team has not lost faith in their ability to bounce back and right the ship in time for the playoffs.
"It got down to the end of the game and I think guys thought the game was going to fall into their hands and they didn't need to work anymore. At the end of the day we got a loss and we have to get better. Sometimes you get use to winning and you forget what it's like to lose. I think we got comfortable and we have to learn that you have to hate losing to appreciate winning." (Rod Miller, Rattlesnakes Head Coach)
Laredo will not have long to lick their wounds as they will hit the road for the final time in the regular season this Saturday taking on San Angelo. They will then close the season with a home game against number one Amarillo on Saturday June 29th.
