Seven Laredo Boys Will Compete in the State Powerlifting Competition

Their strength is what ten Laredo boys relied on Saturday as they went to compete in the regional competition hoping to go to the next level, states.
Seven of the ten boys competing earn that chance.
United South's David Lopez and Rudy Flores earned first in their weight class.
Also earning first in their weight class is Alexander's Jerry Alaniz.
Other's that will compete in state will be United South's Cesar Alfaro, Nixon's Marco Banda and Cigarroa's Jose Flores and Edgar Barbosa.
United South also won the third place regional team trophy. They are the first Laredo team to earn it since Cigarroa back in 2009.
The upcoming state meet will be held March 23rd in Abilene. Good luck to all those athletes competing.
