For two weeks now the Rattlesnakes have known they would be the #2 seed heading into the Lone Star Football League playoffs and would host a playoff game. What they didn't know was who they would face in that opening round. With New Mexico and Abilene sitting within a half game of each other entering the final week of play, who ever ended up as the three seed would be on their way for Laredo. With the stars beating San Angelo handily in the 4th quarter tonight, the playoff seeds appear set and New Mexico will make the long journey to the Gateway City.
Laredo is 2-0 this season against the Stars, but those victories have been anything but easy. In their first meeting the Rattlesnakes won 75 to 74 scoring a touchdown in the closing seconds. Game two was a 34 to 29 defensive slug-fest here at home. Game time for Saturday is 7 o'clock with tickets as low as $5 and drink specials all game long.
