The United South Panthers finally broke through Friday with their first district win of the season and now they are hoping to keep that momentum going. The Panthers entered Fridays game against CC Winn 0-3 after losing to United, Del Rio and Eagle Pass. With those three teams being the tops in the district so far, the playoffs are not out of the realm of possibilites for the Panthers. Dropping those first three games means from here on out each contest is a virtual must win, if they want to reach the postseason.
"Our kids understand that and they believe they have the team to make the playoffs, so it's about going over there and getting things done and coming out on top."
United South will take on Alexander this Friday night at the SAC, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 pm.
