In San Antonio this afternoon the TAMIU softball team earned a split of their doubleheader with Incarnate Word. In game one, Kristen LaBuhn was a menance at the plate going 1/4 from her leadoff spot, but did drive in two and scored twice as well. Kendall Reaves would go the distance for TAMIU, giving up only one run while striking out two and not allowing a single walk.
Game two did not go nearly as well for the Dustdevils, as they are trounced 13-2 in only five innings. TAMIU had a quick 1-0 lead after half an inning, but would give up one in the 1st, two in the 2nd and seven in the 3rd. The Dustdevils will be home Thursday against Oklahoma Christian for a doubleheader starting at noon.
