For the 2nd week in a row, a TAMIU soccer player has won player of the week from the Heartland Conference. Congratulations go out to TAMIU Goalkeeper Jesus Cisneros who was named Defensive Player of the Week. The Dustdevils keeper recorded back to back shutouts over the past week, blanking #5 Midwestern State and St. Mary's. Cisneros played a total of 220 minutes and stopped 16 shots over the two games. The junior leads the Heartland Conference in total saves and save percentage and is tied for the lead in shutouts.
Both the men and women teams will play Thursday against the Newman Jets. The women kickoff at 5 pm, while the men will get started at 7:30.
