The Max A. Mendel golf course is looking to get kids interested in golf at an early age and not by using traditional teaching methods. The new course is bringing in Joe Caruso Golf Academy, which utalizes "Snag Golf" where kids use colorful tennis balls to learn the basics of the game. One of the most enjoyable parts to "Snag Golf" is the full adult velcro suit, with targets for young golfers to aim at. Another one of the the teaching tolls is "Birdie Ball" with all of these tools aimed at getting kids to enjoy the game.
"It's a whole new way of learning how to play the game. Without them knowing it they are going to have a lot of fun because of all the colors and balls sticking to targets but at the same time they are learning how to play the game."
These classes will kick off this Saturday and Sunday with sessions costing $25 a piece. For more information you can call Robbie at 210-436-9004 or the course at 726-2000.
