The Cigarroa girls basketball team fell behind in the 2nd quarter and couldn't recover, losing 41-33. Denise Loredo led the Toro's with 10 points, while Stephanie Verduzco added in 9. The Toro's finished the season 23-11 overall.
Things weren't much better for the Alexander girls as they lose to Weslaco tonight in San Antonio. Diana Scott had 20 points to go with Debany Davila's 16.
Good news for the Alexander and Nixon boys though, who move on to the Area round thanks to wins Tuesday night.
