Toro's Focused on Weekend's Playoff Foes

By KGNS News

The Toro's de Los Dos Laredos have a big weekend coming up as they will host two games at the Laredo Energy Arena. Laredo sits half a game back of the Halcones of Xalapa, who has only lost one game on the season and that loss was at the hands of the Toro's. Laredo will welcome in Cancun and Mexicali this weekend, two teams that have winning records and have recently battled with the Toro's in the postseason. Laredo says they cannot let past success over these tems get in the way of focusing on the games at hand.

"You kind of have an idea of the personal. They may play a little different in a system but for the most part familiarty does help." (Lonnie Vasquez)

"You can't take anything you did last year and try to translate it over to the next year. You've just got to treat every game like it's a new opportunity to go out and prove yourself all over again." (Adriane Henning)

The Toro's will take on Cancun Friday at 7:30, while Mexicali will be in town for a 5 pm tip off on Sunday. Both teams have a record of 5-4, while Laredo is 7-1.
