The college signings continued in Laredo today with two United Longhorns offically agreeing to play soccer here in the Gateway City. Karina Garcia and Ana Martinez both signed their letters of intent to play at TAMIU next season. These two friends have spent the past four years on the same pitch and are very excited to be staying close to and continuing their careers together.
"I was planning on other universities but I never planned on TAMIU and when this great opportunity came, I just took it."
"I was given an excellent opportunity in my hometown and I will have my parents coming to watch me play. So I thought it was a great opportunity to be in."
Garcia says she plans to study psychology, while Martinez is going to major in biology at TAMIU.
