UISD Ready to Take Over LEA

By KGNS News

Friday will host a frist in Laredo, a day full of high school basketball, where one ticket will get you all four UISD rival games. Beginning at 4:30 the LBJ and United South girls will take the court for the first bit of action, with the boys game between the Wolves and Panthers to take place around six. After that it will be United and Alexander that will take the stage, starting with the girls game at 7:30. The night cap will be the Longhorn and Bulldogs boys teams playing for first place in district 29-5A. UISD says they are excited for fans to see all the games in one place.

"With the popularity of our games, we just figured it would be a good situation to have our games there. Over the past couple of years, we've had instances where we've had to stop ticket sales because we reach capacity and this is a good venue. The city and the arena were willing to work with us real well." (Bobby Cruz, UISD Athletic Director)

Tickets for the event went on sale earlier today at the LEA with students costing $2 and adults $3. All tickets are general admission and seats are on a first come, first served basis.
