USA and China Tied Atop Medal Count; Mexico Earns Silver

Taking a look at the up-to-date medal count after three days of competition in London. The U.S. and China are locked up atop the rankings with 17 medals apiece. The Chinese have dominated in golds though, winning nine so far, while setting three individual Olympic records in the process. The United States has five golds, to go along with seven silver and five bronze.

Japan had a big day, leap frogging Italy for 3rd on the list as they have 11 total medals, compared to eight for the Italians. Mexico was able to get on the board today winning silver in the men's 10-meter synchronized springboard event.
