United took game one, Alexander took game two, forcing their season to come down to game three. That's where the Longhorns used their bats for a three run fifth innings and came away the game winners. Jorge Gonzalez had four RBI's in the win. Head coach JJ Gomez said he used a special strategy to mentally prepare his team for game three. "I took the kids off the field and went to a secluded area behind Veterans. We took off our shoes and I said all right we are going to put them back on. It's a one game season now so everything that we worked hard for, now it comes down to seven innings. So we took the field back in game three with a brand new attitude and forgot about game two and lets go play like we always do, one inning at a time." The Longhorns advance to the regional semifinal round, where they will now face San Antonio O'Connor. Official game details have not been worked out as of Sunday night, but coaches believe it will be a three game series held next weekend.
