By KGNS News

The TAMIU Dustdevils hit the road for Edmond, Oklahoma, taking on Oklahoma Christian University in a non-conference match up of two teams on winning streaks. Sadly for TAMIU, it would be the Eagles that win their 4th in a row, knocking off the Dustdevils 92-81. At the half this game was tied at 27, but it was an offensive explosion in the second 20 minutes that led to the win for Oklahoma Christian. Johnel Gray would lead the Dustdevils with 17 points, but it wasn't enough as this loss drops TAMIU to 0-7 overall and they remain 3-3 in conference play.

Earlier in the evening the women had the court and TAMIU comes away with a 73-71 win in thrilling fashion. The Dustdevils trailed by eight, 66-58 with just over three minutes to go in the game. TAMIU would go on a 15-5 run to end the game, including two free throws from Samantha Chacon with 6.6 seconds left to win the game. The Dustdevils are now 7-11 on the year. Both the men and women will take on Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday with the games beginning at 5:30.
