Both the men's and women's teams from TAMIU would lose to McMurray tonight. The men fell 70-49 despite 11 points and six rebounds from Johnel Gray. Poor shooting was once again a major factor in the loss, as the Dustdevils shot only 35% from the field.
The women did a little better but could not pick up a win, losing 72-59. Malika Jackson recorded another double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams will be back in Heartland Conference play Saturday as they take on the Hilltoppers of St. Edwards.
