TAMIU Baseball Opens at Home in Conf. Play

With spring right around the corner, the TAMIU baseball team is gearing up for its first series of the season. The Dustdevils will take to Uni-Trade Stadium Friday afternoon for a double header against the University of Texas at Permian Basin. TAMIU jumps right into the thick of things with conference place happening right away. The pressure will be on to win right away if the Dustdevils want to make the postseason.
"We just have to be ready. Guys are excited and ready to get on the field. If we play hard and take care of the fundamentals, we've got a shot to do some real good things."
Game one of Friday's double header is scheduled for a 3 pm first pitch. The series will conclude on Saturday at 1 pm, also at Uni-Trade Stadium.
