The Tigers Rudy Castillo is basking in the limelinght this week after being named the "Built Ford Tough" player of the week for all of Texas' 4A schools. The senior ripped off over 400 yards rushing and five touchdowns last week against Corpus Christi Moody, as the Tigers won 62-27. Earning this achievement is about more then the football field, as winners are picked based off academics, community service and their performance on the gridiron.
In addition to this award, voting is still going on at texasfootball.com where Castill is up for the overall player of the week. In that fan poll he is currently leading the pack with 37% of the vote. You can get online and vote for Rudy until noon tomorrow.
