With the bi-district round of the volleyball playoffs complete, both Alexander and United will move on to the area round. The Bulldogs will take the court tomorrow night in Rio Grande City's La Gruella high against Brownsville Veterans Memorial. The Chargers went 18-9 and took 2nd this season in district 32-5A.
For United, they will play Friday in Rio Grande City as well, but at Rio Grande high school against Brownsville Rivera. The Raider finished 4th in district 32-5a but knocked off McAllen's Nikki Rowe who was the champion of district 31-5A. If both the Bulldogs and Longhorns win in the area round, they will meet in the regional quarterfinals.
