This past weekend the granddaughter of the Sultan of Swath, Babe Ruth was honored during the 34th Annual Latin Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony here in Laredo.
The Babe’s granddaughter, Linda Ruth Tosett; talked about the Boston curse; who says the infamous curse really never happened.
“What happened was when Babe was sold; which he didn't ask to be by the way...he had no choice, he wanted to stay in Boston when they sold him to the Yankees. He got there and kept going, Babe never threw it... what Babe said was "they're never going to win antother World Series with out me", that's all he said he just made a fact that they weren't going to win.”
