The Laredo Heat are coming off of what could be described as a disapointing two game road trip that saw them end up with only a single point in the standings. The Austin Aztex were able to exact a bit of revenge after Laredo had defefeated the 2nd place team twice already this season by beating the Heat 2-0 on Friday night.
Last night Laredo took their game to the Big Easy and were leading 3-1 into the 2nd half, but saw that advantage disappear, leaving the game in a three all tie. Despite coming away with only one point, forward Juan Nava says they have to learn from these games and move forward.
"It's better that it happened right now so we can fix it. We're still in first place and we're still three points ahead of the second place and fix it and go out there this week and do our thing."
There will not be much time to rest as Laredo plays back-to-back home games this week. First up is the final match-up with the Aztex on Wednesday, followed up by a visit from the West Texas Sockers on Thursday. Both games will kick-off at 8 pm at the TAMIU soccer Field.
