The Laredo Lemurs have clinched the South Division Sunday as they defeated the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 6-5.
The Lemurs were down,5-4 going into the ninth. Brian Peterson got on base and Anthony Scelfo batted him in to tie the game. Scelfo then came home off a Stephen Douglas RBI to go ahead 6-5. That score would hold as the Lemurs clinch the South division and move on to the play-offs.
The Lemurs will face the Wichita Wingnuts in a five game series. The Lemurs will host game one and two which will take place on Sept. 5 and 6 at Uni-trade stadium. Game time will be 7:30 p.m.
