The night started off rough for Laredo, finding themselves down 3-0 after two innings and 4-0 after three. The Lemurs refused to give up though, fighting back to tie the game at five, thanks in part to a John Alonso homerun in the fifth. Fittingly in his last home game of his career, Jimmy Mojica would score the go ahead run in the seventh off a Brian Peterson single. Chad Povich worked a perfect 1 1/3 to close out the game, striking out two in the process. This is Laredo's fourth win in a row and they now have a two game lead over both Grand Prairie and Amarillo in the race for the South Division championship.
