The Rattlesnakes are gearing up for the 2013 season and are looking for more local talent to fill out their roster. The Rattlesnakes are hosting open tryouts this Saturday with registration starting at 11 am. It will be $40 to tryout and any one participating is expected to bring their own footwear, but the team asks no one wears cleats because of the indoor surface.
Players will be run through a number of stations including a 40-yard dash, short shuttle run and position drills.
"Every position is open basically except for quarterback, we have that spot pretty well locked down with the two guys we have. Any receiver, any lineman, even a kicker coming in will be able to compete and show us what they can do and give us a chance to win." (Rod Miller, Rattlesnakes Head Coach)
In addition to the football tryouts, the dance team will also be holding open auditions, with the cost to participate in that being $25. Both events are scheduled to begin registration at 11 am on Saturday and will be held at the Laredo Energy Arena.
