The Laredo Rattlesnakes made their longest road trip of the season Saturday, going all the way to Albuquerque to come away with a 75-74 win over the Stars. With their one point victory, Laredo is now 2-1 on the young season, having won back-to-back games. Their only loss was a one point defeat against Abilene in a game the Rattlesnakes dominated, but saw slip away at the end.
Since then, the teams mantra has been about finishing games and learning how to win on the road, something they pulled off on Saturday night. "We came home and won our first home game but we talked about redemption was winning our next road game. It's fitting that we lost by one, then won by one. I think they understand what it's going to take to win on the road and now we need to keep pushing forward." (Rod Miller, Rattlesnakes Head Coach)
The Rattlesnakes will now have their third bye week of the season before playing at home against Amarillo on April 20th. The Venom are the reigning league champions, but have lost their top two quarterbacks over the past week.
