Over the weekend the Rattlesnakes were able to collect their 4th win of the season, with a seven point victory in San Angelo over the Bandits. That makes Laredo 4-2 overall with their only two loses being heartbreaking ones where they held leads late in the 4th quarter but could not finish. The team is confident that both those defeats have taught them a valuable lesson on the road tot their ultimate goal, a Lone Star Football League championship.
"You have to learn through experience and go through the fire, at the same time, by going through the fire you learn that you don't like getting burnt. If you don't like getting burnt you don't put yourself in those positions. So I think the guys have learned from it, felt some sting behind it but I think because of that experience the guys are learning the way to win a championship is to play all four quarters." (Rod Miller, Rattlesnakes head coach)
"It's all about finishing and executing in the 4th quarter. If you don't play all four quarters you lose games like that. I think the last two games we've put together full games and that's allowed us to win football games." (Keyun Sweeny\Rattlesnakes Lineman)[
The Rattlesnakes will be back at home this Sunday for a special Mothers day game against league leading Amarillo.
