One of our very own will be featured in a book for his time in the media field.
Author Bob Henson visited KGNS today to interview Richard "Heatwave" Berler for his latest piece.
The author's book, "Weather On The Air", spans the decades of the Twentieth Century from the time of radio weather casting to the invention of the weather graphics system.
Henson says Heatwave's experience, love for weather, and interest in climate change make him the perfect candidate to feature his thoughts.
Bob Henson\AUTHOR, "WEATHER ON THE AIR" "He's been doing the weather in Laredo since 1980 and when he began, it was a very critical time in weather casting. Most places in the country were still drawing maps by hand. Heatwave's career has spanned that interval."
"Weather On The Air" is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2010.
It will be available on the American Meteorological Society's Website listed on your screen or on various web sites, including Amazon.
