Alexandra Reyes recognized at Youth of the Month

Another special student was honored today as Youth of the Month.

Alexandra Reyes is the first to receive the prestigious award at the Laredo early college high school at Texas A&M International University.

Each month during the school year, the US Border Patrol International Bank of Commerce and KGNS-TV honor a special high school student.

Alexandra is one of the top of her class, but still finds time to take college courses and volunteer for special charities in the community.

She's also involved in many extra curricular activities.

When she graduates Alexandra plans to pursue a degree in Biology and a career in medicine.
